Meeting - FEMA Floodplain Mapping Update
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is in the process of updating the flood maps for a number of streams in New Castle County including; Belltown Run, Mill Creek, White Clay Creek and Red Clay Creek. A total of 1,666 properties are affected by these map changes. New Castle County has scheduled an informational meeting and is encouraging all interested persons to come by and obtain information related to the updated extent of these floodplain limits. Representatives from New Castle County, DNREC, and FEMA will be present to answer any and all questions related to the revised maps and how they relate to your property.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Public Meeting Room in the County’s Gilliam Building located at 77 Reads Way, New Castle, DE.
