NCC Libraries Creating Cookbook, Looking for Recipes

New Castle County’s Division of Libraries will collect recipes from county residents through Jan. 28 for its first “Love Your Library” cookbook.

Recipe submission forms can be found at 10 county libraries and online at www.nccde.org/libraries.

Completed forms can be dropped off at the libraries or emailed to recipes@nccde.org.

Selected recipes will be published in the “Love Your Library” Cookbook in April.

Money raised from the $15 cookbooks will be used for future library resources.

Each library has its own chapter focusing on specific categories. Cooks can submit a recipe based on the category of their preferred library, or they may submit a favorite recipe in any category.

Recipes will be reviewed for accuracy and duplication. Because of space limitations, not all submitted recipes will be published.

The libraries and their categories are:

» Appoquinimink: Soups and salads
» Bear: Appetizers and beverages
» Brandywine: Vegetables and sides
» Claymont: Cookies and candy
» Elsmere: Vegetarian dishes
» Garfield Park: Breakfast and brunch
» Hockessin: Entrees
» Kirkwood: Desserts
» Newark: Breads and rolls
» Woodlawn: Pasta
