New Castle County to host ‘Meet Your County Government’
session for homeowner associations Jan. 18

New Castle County will host a “Meet Your County Government” seminar for leaders of the county’s 800 homeowner associations from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the James H. Gilliam Building, 77 Reads Way, New Castle.

Leaders from each of the county’s departments will be on hand to answer questions from Homeowner Associations’ boards of directors.

The seminar is the first in a series the county will hold this year as part of its new Homeowner Association Help Line, a call center and website that County Executive Paul Clark launched in November as a resource for maintenance corporations and civic associations on topics from storm water management to annual dues to grass-cutting schedules for open space.

“The leaders of these associations are among the unsung heroes of the county, and we want to do everything we can to help them address questions and concerns quickly and efficiently,” Clark said. “The help line and the information sessions we are holding will give them a valuable connection to their county government and aid them in their work in communities throughout the county.”
