Halloween Party

On September 15, I went to Sharon Cole's home at around 8 pm to discuse the party with her with our suggestions:

1. Prize money - I suggested that the prized be kept to $10.00 each for the 14 sub prizes and $20.00 for the Best Overall.

2. Suggested that we have cupcakes there for the children to ice and decorate.

3. Small pumpkins for the children to paint.

4. Bobbing for apples.

after our discussion the following was agreed upon with the approval of the committee and the civic club:

1. It was suggested that we block off the dead end of Ohio for the parade so the older member of the community could attend. It is depending on if Mr.Stirk can get all the people on the block to agreed on it.

2. The prize amount was agreed - the civic club would supply the money for the prizes if we can not get some businesses or people to donate money for them.

3. We will call Milburn Orchard to see what the will charge for the pumpkins.

4. Instead of bobbing for apples it was suggested that we just either give out apples to the kids and or supply melted carmel for the kids to make their own carmel apples.

5. The baking of the cupcakes does not same to be a problem as we have had several members of the community who are willing to bake them - we will contact Cannons to see if they will donate a tub of icing.

6. A flyer will be made up and passed out asking people from the community to donate either a bag of candy or juice paks/boxes for the children.
