The installation of a barrier wall will cause a temporary lane closure on SR 48/Lancaster Pike overnight Friday (November 17th)
DelDOT crews will be closing the right lane and shoulder on SR 48/Lancaster Pike westbound after the intersection of SR 141. The installation of the barrier wall is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 17 and continue until 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, pending weather.
After the barrier wall is installed, crews will be removing and replacing drainage pipe behind the barrier wall. During the replacement of the pipe, a new traffic pattern will occur where motorists turning onto Route 48/Lancaster Pike from SR 141 southbound will yield to oncoming traffic. The work is anticipated to be complete by mid-January, pending weather.
Variable message boards will be posted advising motorists of the new traffic pattern.
