Good morning,
On behalf of the Director of Policy and External Affairs for the Delaware Office of Management and Budget (OMB) I am writing to inform you of an upcoming public meeting regarding the Emily P. Bissell Hospital site.
Through state legislation, OMB was given the responsibility to complete an analysis assessing the condition and functionality of the facility and making recommendations for its adaptive reuse. That assessment has been completed and a report can be found at http://dfm.delaware.gov/misc/ncc-facilities-mp-analysis.pdf .
The legislation requires that the public be a part of the process. The State will be holding a public meeting to discuss the future of the Emily P. Bissell site on October 24, 2017 from 7-9 PM at the Delcastle Golf Clubhouse ( 801 McKennans Church Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 ). At this meeting they plan to review the site, the current conditions, the draft report including recommendations for reuse, and then take comments from the public on the recommendations contained therein.
Public comment will be accepted at that meeting, or through emails addressed to robert.scoglietti@state.de.us
