The snow removal was the worst i have ever seen! The guy in the modern truck was very helpful he cleaned up a lot of the mess left behind from the contractor our dues paid for. Why should we pay dues for such a poor job. I spoke to the guy in the modern truck he told me he was the vp of the civic club and he was not the person hired to snow plow brookland terrace. Why should he have to clean up after the one who gets paid for the job. I think the civic club should pay him for a job well done! Who was the person who hired the contractor?

I totally agree with anonymous. I also heard some things about the Ferris rd incident. Those people may of needed to get out too. That could of been plowed at least from Woodward to the end of the houses toward Centerville by the guy who was paid to do the job, those people pay dues too. We really need to refocus on taking care of our own neighborhood first instead of extending our resources to other communities.

I too agree with anonymous, the guy in the modern truck should not have to go behind and clean up after the person hired to plow our area, i agree he should also be paid for the clean up since he did a much better job then the one paid for it. I also agree that we should focus on our neighborhood first before reaching out to help others, it is a shame that the ones who pay dues don't receive the same service as everyone else that is inside the neighborhood... ie centre road

I agree with both of the anonymous postings. We are supposed to be working together as a community. Snow removal in itself is a hard enough job. I do agree that the guy in the Modern truck should not have had to clean up after the one being paid to do it and furthermore. I agree that he should be paid for his efforts. We should have more people around here willing to help his neighbors! If one person is going to have their area plowed then ALL of us that pay our dues should have that benefit! And, what's up with missed streets?

We hear enough about grafitti, if there had been some grafitti under the snow would it have been cleaned up better?

I've been reading all the comments and I agree with them but I feel I must say that I think the officers of the civic club right now are some of the best we've ever had. The president is doing a very good job. The only problem I see is that we need to get our priorities straight when it comes to snow removal.

We pay dues to help pay for snow removal? I received a news letter from the civic club yesterday and i read the part about the dues and it stated the dues are used for all this graffiti clean up. Is that all that this civic club is worried about. I feel your more worried about cleaning up graffiti all over new castle county than you are dealing with the concerns of our own neighborhood. Like the snow removal. The snow plow guys were the worst I have ever seen. They get into fights and yell at the people who live here. If this is the way things are going to be I feel it is a waste of my money to pay dues.

Wow I see I'm not the only one who thought was not happy about the snow removal. Who was the one who hired these "plow guys" if that's what there are. Did any one look at there reference's ? And now you want my dues to pay for them to snow plow in here and pay for graffiti clean up that's not even for cleaning up brookland terrace. I see you are cleaning up everywhere in new castle county. Looks like bad judgment to me. Who makes the decisions for this?

William said: to correct comments about civic club money used for graffiti clean up this is not true. The money spent has been from a grant and donations. The part listed in the new letter was pulled from a newsletter that was made up by our civic club for another one we help get back on their feet. As far as snow removal yes it sucked, but he was the only person we had at the moment - no plowing was better then none.
