Three charged in string of vehicle break-ins .. The two men and a woman arrested Sunday in a two-month string of car break-ins told police they searched through northern New Castle County developments for unlocked cars. ...The three were arrested Sunday after an officer recognized one of the men who was shown on surveillance video using a victim's stolen credit card at a Stanton convenience store, police said.
The suspects stole laptop computers, iPods, purses, wallets, credit cards, gift cards, cash, diaper bags, power tools, GPS devices, loose change, jewelry, radar detectors, lawn/yard equipment and anything not properly secured, said county police Cpl. Trinidad Navarro.
Over the past several weeks, investigators have been tracking car break-ins in Alapocas, Alban Park, Arundel Apartments, Ashbourne Hills, Ashton Condominiums, Bay Pointe, Breckenridge, Breezewood I and II, Brookland Terrace, Brookside Park, Greenbridge, Limestone Hills, Scotch Hills Apartments, Stafford, Weldin Park and William Penn Village.
The suspects have not been link yet to any of those break-ins, police said.
Wilberg told police he does not remember all of the vehicles he broke into because "he was either high or wanted to get high," police said in court records. ..
