Rehabilitation of Bridges 1-600, 1-601, and 1-604, SR2 and SR141 Interchange
Note : These are the 141 bridges over Kirkwood Hwy just East of Kirkwood Hwy
This project involves the rehabilitation of Bridges 1 -600, 1 -601 and 1 -604. This work includes replacing joints, concrete deck overlay, concrete patching of substructure, painting steel beams in sections, and other incidental repairs to the substructure and superstructure. Work will be performed in phases with traffic maintained throughout the duration of the project.
Project Justification:
Both bridges have minor spalls and damage joints. They were identified by DelDOT Bridge Management System for work. Repairs will help the Department meet its performance measures related to bridge condition.
