DELDOT PRESS RELEASE -JULY 29, 2013 NEW DATES: Route 1/I-95 Project Will Require Lane Closures on I-95 Northbound and Southbound for the Removal & Installation of Overhead Signs Christiana -- The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is advising the traveling public that Route 1 northbound will be closed from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. each night on Monday, July 29 and Tuesday, July 30.
On Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. (each night) there will be lane closures on I-95 northbound and southbound. There will also be intermittent rolling road blocks on I-95 northbound and southbound for 15 minute increments from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m., each night.
These lane restrictions and rolling road blocks are necessary for the removal and installation of overhead sign structures over the I-95 travel lanes.
Monday, July 29 and Tuesday, July 30 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Route 1 northbound will be closed immediately following the exit ramp to I-95 northbound. All traffic will be detoured to I-95 northbound to Route 141 westbound to I-95 southbound and return to Route 1 northbound.
Wednesday, July 31 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. I-95 southbound will have three lanes closed between the Route 141 on ramp to the Churchmans Bridge overpass.
I-95 northbound will have two lanes closed between Churchmans Bridge and Route 141 exit ramp.
Thursday, August 1 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. I-95 northbound and I-95 southbound will have three lanes closed between the bridge over Route 1 to the Route 141 exit ramp
